Securing a dream job is not just about having the correct qualification.
To get your foot in the door, graduates must impress their future employers during the job interview.
And to make sure CPUT graduates do just that, the Work Integrated Learning Unit has developed learning material that will provide students with valuable tips on the job interview process.
The unit opted to develop a video, titled “Ace that interview,” which covers all aspects of the interview, right up from receiving an invite to an interview to exiting the interview venue.
The move to create the learning material was sparked by engagement with employers who noted that while students may have the correct skills for the job, some are not prepared for the interview process.
The video was rolled out earlier this year and will become a permanent feature in the curriculum across faculties.
