New collaboration on the cards

PARTNERS: The Jilin Agricultural University’s Dr Lv Wenfa, Director of Office of Science and Technology, and council chairperson Xi Xiufeng formed part of the delegation which recently visited CPUT

CPUT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with  Jilin Agricultural University (JAU) which will see the institutions collaborative on various projects over the next five years.

The institutions have agreed to collaborate on scientific research projects in agriculture and other relevant fields as well as establish a research and management staff exchange programmes. They will also exchange publications and other materials of common interest.

In order to carry out and fulfill the aims of this agreement, the universities will each appoint a coordinator who will manage the development and conduct of joint activities.

Founded in 1948 in the Jilin Province, JAU is one of the earliest universities in China to be granted the authority to confer bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees.
