Drive to alleviate student hunger

DONATE: CPUT staff members and students are urged to donate non-perishable food and clothes

CPUT staff members and students are urged to donate non-perishable food and clothes.

For the past 10 years Student Counselling Unit and the Housing Department have worked tirelessly and continuously to help students who are destitute on our campuses.

They have done this by providing students who are needy with food vouchers, food and clothing collected by residence managers and students.

In the past years they have assisted a number of students with vouchers and donations.

They have also worked in conjunction with Gift of the Givers to provide toiletries to students on the Bellville campus.

The Student Counselling Unit and Housing Department would like to invite you to make a donation of non-perishable food and clothes to help students who are in need.

The goal of this project is to ensure that students who are struggling financially, especially with food, are adequately nourished so as to improve their retention and academic throughput.

To make your donations please call any of the numbers below and a peer helper will collect from your office.

Alternatively you may drop your donations at the Student Counselling Unit at the Cape Town or Bellville Campuses.
