Seminar description

The use of emerging technologies is on the rise in the Higher Education sector. More and more lecturers, often prompted by their students, are starting to use technologies, such as Twitter or Facebook, which their students engage with in their everyday, social life, for informal and formal learning. These technologies offer many benefits, such as openness, ease of use, opportunity for customization, integration with other application, and their focus on collaboration.

In this seminar, lecturers from the Faculty of Informatics and Design will talk about their use of social media, such as skype, Facebook, blogs and Twitter in teaching and learning. Dont miss this unique opportunity to learn from their experiences with these exciting tools!
