Since the last image was taken by ZACUBE-1 we have managed to squeeze in time to capture three more. Unfortunately none of these are quite as spectacular as the previous one.

Lense flare

In the first photograph the camera is almost completely blinded by lens flare.

The sun

This image shows the sun as a black dot. This is similar to a previous image and is caused by the overloading of the camera CMOS matrix sensor by the sun.

Partial earth image – East Coast Southern Africa

A partial earth image was also captured showing what appears to be the East Coast of Southern Africa. In some instances we have had difficulty transferring the images between the camera and the on board non-volatile storage. We still have one or two tricks to try to retrieve the rest of the image, before moving on and capturing a new image.

All the images captured by ZACUBE-1 (TshepisoSat) will later be added to gallery on the website. The next post should include some graphs and data logged over one orbit.
