CPUT’s public relations and events coordinator, Cathy Cloete, has been appointed as the new regional chairperson of the professional association, Marketing, Advancement and Communication in Education (MACE).
MACE is a membership-based organisation that fulfils a leadership role in the higher-education sector within Southern Africa by adding value to practitioners in marketing, advancement, and communication.
Cloete said she was elected as a national board member during the annual congress in Johannesburg last year before being elected as regional chairperson this year.
“It is an honour and a privilege to be the regional chairman of MACE, which strives to ensure best practice in marketing, advancement and communication in higher education institutions.”
She said CPUT will be hosting the annual MACE congress in November.
The congress brings together marketing, advancement, and communication practitioners from the higher-education sector in South Africa for benchmarking, networking, and professional development.
