APPLY NOW: Staff and students are invited to apply for the annual Abe Bailey Travel Bursary

Staff and students, all under the age of 25, are invited to apply for the annual Abe Bailey Travel Bursary.

The bursary provides South African students and young academics with an opportunity to spend four weeks visiting universities in Britain as well as taking in the sights.

The bursary was established in terms of the will of the late Abe Bailey, who was a mining magnate and politician in South Africa and aims to broaden the views of South African students and young academics by exposing them to different cultures.

The bursary is awarded annually to outstanding students and academics who have shown exceptional leadership qualities at their universities and within their communities.

To date, several young CPUT academics and students have been awarded the bursary.

To stand a chance, see the application forms and more details in the newsflash folder.
