At CPUT giving back is an important part of our university culture.

Through our Service Learning Programmes we encourage students to use their skills to make a difference in the local communities, while our researchers are urged to find solutions to real-life problems.

And to celebrate turning 10, CPUT has decided to give back to our local communities throughout this year.

From blanket drives to collecting canned food for the homeless, we want staff to join in on all our social responsibility-drives.

We’ve listed all our social responsibility drives in the 2015 desk calendar. So take a look and see how you can help our local communities.

June – July

During June and July we are collecting blankets to help keep people in our community warm.

April – May

During April and May we collected cat food for our campus cat feeding project.

January – March

From January to March we collected school shoes, which we donated to the Athlone School for the blind.
